IP based, network cameras use your wireless connection from the camera to the network in conjunction with any of our WiFi Access Points or WiFi Client davices. Our IP network cameras all use POE or power over ethernet to provide current to the camera eliminating the need for additonal cables.
The decision of the type of camera needed depends on resolution, coverge area, day/night vision, color and other factors that are best answered by one of our professionals.

For applications that require detailed images, such as face identification, the demands can rise to as much as 150 pixels per foot. This means, for example, that you want to be able to strongly identify people passing through an area that is seven feet wide and seven feet high, the camera needs to provide a resolution of 1,050x1,050 pixels, which is slightly more than 1 megapixel.
