With its 4 megapixel sensor, the Sanyo VCC-HD4000 is able to generate images with quality levels 9 times that of a conventional camera. With high resolution, image clarity is maintained even under extreme magnification. This not only enhances security but also reduces the tamount of cameras needed to secure an area, making it a significant time and cost saver.

In this camera you'll also find a many controls, serving to enhance your security experience and to combat poor or challenging lighting conditions. Some of these are - Day/Night feature, privacy masking and selectable compression options. Others are drect to HDD recording, human face detection and a clipping function.

Finally, there's support for PoE, giving you greater flexibility in the installation process.

Key Features

• Direct Recording to HDD

While many network cameras offer SD card recording, this is one of a few network cameras on the market that will actually allow you to record HD images to a high capacity hard drive connected directly to its USB port. Aside from regular recording, you can use this feature as a recording backup method in case of a network failure.

• Human Face Detection

Human face detection will have the camera focus where it's needed most; on a person's face. If the person happens to be situated in front of a bright light source, the camera will also apply back light compensation to the facial region, thus ensuring proper exposure. Human face detection is supported for up to 32 faces in an image.

• Clipping Function

When video is output through the camera SD (BNC) terminal, up to 4 VGA-sized regions of the image can be selected, clipped and monitored in a continuous sequence. This way, you can keep a close up on the important areas of the general image.

• True Hybrid Camera with HDMI Output

If your network isn't set up yet or during network down time you can connect the camera via its HDMI port to standard HD equipment for viewing and recording.

• Optional Recording Software Available

Sanyo offers a number of optional professional software programs that support recording, playback and other advanced network features. Included with this camera is Sanyo's VA-SW3050Lite software program. While this limited program will allow you to view and configure multiple cameras over the network, it does not support recording.
